چکیده

In these short notes we present a parametrization of the results obtained in the chiral quark-soliton model for polarized antiquark distributions ∆ū, ∆d̄ and ∆s̄ at a low normalization point around μ = 0.6 GeV. The aim of these short notes is to summarize the results for the polarized antiquark distributions ∆ū, ∆d̄ and ∆s̄ obtained in refs. [1, 2, 3] in the framework of the chiral quark-soliton model. The chiral quark-soliton model [4] is a low-energy field theoretical model of the nucleon structure which allows a consistent calculations of leading twist quark and antiquark distributions [1]. Due to its field theoretical nature the quark and antiquark distributions obtained in this model satisfy all general QCD requirements: positivity, sum rules, inequalities, etc. A remarkable prediction of the chiral quark soliton model, noted first in ref. [1], is the strong flavour asymmetry of polarized antiquarks, the feature which is missing in other models like, for instance, pion cloud models (for discussion of this point see Ref. [5]). The fits below are based on the calculations of Refs. [1, 2, 3], generalized to the case of three flavours. The results of these calculations are fitted by the form inspired by quark counting rules discussed in Ref. [6]:

A chiral theory of strange sea distributions in the nucleon

A chiral theory of strange sea distributions in the nucleon Abstract Theoretical predictions are given for the strange sea distributions in the nucleon based on the flavor SU(3) chiral quark soliton model, with emphasis upon the asymmetry of quark and antiquark distributions. We find that the quark-antiquark asymmetry of the strange sea is much larger for the longitudinally polarized distributi...

Transversity distributions in the nucleon in the large – N c limit

We compute the quark and antiquark transversity distributions in the nucleon at a low normalization point (μ≈600MeV) in the large–Nc limit, where the nucleon can be described as a soliton of an effective chiral theory (chiral quark–soliton model). The flavor–nonsinglet distributions, δu(x)−δd(x) and δū(x)−δd̄(x), appear in leading order of the 1/Nc–expansion, while the flavor–singlet distributio...

Polarized antiquark flavor asymmetry in Drell – Yan pair production

We investigate the role of the flavor asymmetry of the nucleon's polarized antiquark distributions in Drell–Yan lepton pair production in polarized nucleon–nucleon collisions at HERA (fixed–target) and RHIC energies. It is shown that the large polarized antiquark flavor asymmetry predicted by model calculations in the large–N c limit (chiral quark–soliton model) has a dramatic effect on the dou...

Self-consistent calculation of parton distributions at low normalization point in the chiral quark–soliton model

We calculate the isosinglet unpolarized quark– and antiquark distributions at a low normalization point in the large–Nc limit. The nucleon is described as a selfconsistent soliton solution of the effective chiral theory. The ultraviolet cutoff is implemented by a Pauli–Villars subtraction. The quark and antiquark distributions satisfy the momentum as well as the baryon number sum rule, correspo...

Flavor asymmetry of polarized antiquark distributions and semi-inclusive DIS

The 1/Nc–expansion of QCD suggests large flavor asymmetries of the polarized antiquark distributions in the nucleon. This is confirmed by model calculations in the large–Nc limit (chiral quark–soliton model), which give sizable results for ∆ū(x)−∆d̄(x) and ∆ū(x)+∆d̄(x)−2∆s̄(x). We compute the contributions of these flavor asymmetries to the spin asymmetries in hadron production in semi-inclusive d...
